1603: ALF - Wolfgang Roethig

- Was approved as IEEE std in Sep. 2003, as reported previously.
- Submitted the names of award nominees for their contributions to 1603.
- Attended joint IEEE/IEC meeting in Nov. 2003 to bring 1603
  on the IEC standardization path. Got the necessary approvals.


1647: e - Yaron Kashai

- the WG held a second meeting, approved the bylaws, elected a vice
   chair and adopted the recommendations of the task force formed at
   the first meeting, regarding the organization of work.

- the recommendations included the formation of 11 task forces to
   cover various aspects of the language. So far about 30 members have
   volunteered to serve on these task forces.

- the web site has been updated with home pages and mail archives
   for each of the task forces, as well as a web based issue tracking
   system.

- the WG now has an editor, who has been busy converting the Verisity
   donated LRM to IEEE format. He has been getting good support from
   the IEEE staff tech writers.

- The next WG meeting is planned for December 8th.
