From: Wolfgang Roethig [Wolfgang_Roethig@necelam.com] Sent: Thursday, 19 February 2004 9:25 To: stds-dasc-sc@eda.org; Peter Ashenden Subject: Re: DASC-SC: request for WG/SG status reports Hello Peter and all, Here is the status report on 1603 (ALF): February 2004: The IEEE finished the work on the 1603-2003 document. It is now ready for publication. I would like to thank Mrs Noelle Humenick from IEEE for the final editorial work. Furthermore, I would like to thank the P1603 work group members Mr Peter Christensen, Mrs Kim Nguyen, and Mr Alex Zamfirescu for outstanding contributions to the 1603-2003 standard. November 2003: The IEC TC93 submitted ALF as a new work item proposal. This proposal was accepted. Discussions are ongoing whether to submit ALF also under the newly established IEC/IEEE dual logo program. October 2003: Accellera announced at the EDA interoperability forum the plan to create a library interoperability standard as a derivative of 1603-2003. The scope of work is to define the requirements for the contents of a characterization library for modern silicon technologies and to create a formal cross-reference between ALF and the open source "liberty" format for the description of such a library. Best regards Wolfgang Roethig P1603 chair
